Od optimismu k realismu: politika a filozofie dejin na pocátku polské meziválecné historiografie

Abstract
Polish historiography from the mid-1880's through World War I, during which time the possibility of renewal of the Polish state became apparent, was marked by a radical optimism, as opposed to the previously flourishing tradition of pessimism. However, this new optimism ended with the proclamation of the independence of the Polish state as historians once again viewed the history of Poland critically, though no longer with strong pessimism.
