Abstract
Paul Ricoeur and Michel de Certeau enriched the hermeneutics of history field with hisconceptions on the past as a producer of meaning, embodied in the present through thetracks. The way we deal with the past, especially when presented in text, is treateddifferently by the two intellectuals. It's about contributing your ideas for thehistoriographical field as the article below. We know that the problem of writing hasfundamental importance for the historian, for it is one of the accesses to the past. Thus, itis crucial that we understand the main theories that have spread in recent times, withrespect to writing, so we can trace a past not as a body charged with truths, but asprimary place of work hermeneutic.
