Abstract
This collection is a festschrift for the philosopher of history W. H. Walsh. Notable contributors include Isaiah Berlin, Louis O. Mink, and the editors. There are studies of the philosophies of history of Kant and Hegel. Other matters addressed include Collingwood's doctrine of absolute presuppositions, and the impact of Freudianism on historiography. A bibliography of the works of W. H. Walsh is included.
