Discusses conceptions of casual analysis that deviate from deductive nomological model in its usual form and that are directly applicable to historical reasoning. Factor on which historical reasoning depends; Importance of comparing similar, simultaneous historical developments; Need for integrating the interpretation of human actions and beliefs into the overall framework of causal analysis.
