Formidlingen mellem historiefilosofi og historievidenskab i wilhelm diltheys 'kritik der historischen vernunft'

Abstract
Wilhelm Dilthey (1833-1911) believed that contemporary historians were not sufficiently interested in theories of history, and criticized them for paying more attention to the exception than the rule. He was, however, critical of all previous and contemporary philosophers of history because he considered their thought to be too abstract to be of use. On the other hand, pragmatic historians had little to contribute to the solution of contemporary problems. In spite of the problems which he saw, he believed that historians and philosophers ought to cooperate.
