Abstract
French philosopher Paul Ricoeur (1913-2005) addressed the crisis of the 'Annales' school of historiography in his three-volume 'Temps et Récit' [Time and narrative] (1983-85). Continuing his previous work, Ricoeur focused on the literary genre of storytelling, including history.
