Biography and/or project
I have long been interested in the intersection between history and social theory. Most of my empirical historical work has been on the social, political, and cultural history of modern France. I am currently working on the social and cultural history of capitalism in eighteenth century France, but make occasional forays into the history of contemporary capitalism.
