B.A. in History from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) with the thesis Carlo Ginzburg and the Italian Microhistory (2002). Supervisor: Dr. Carlos Antonio Aguirre Rojas.

M.A. in History from the Institute of Social Sciences and Humanities (ICSyH), Benemerita Autonomous University of Puebla (BUAP) with the thesis: Rosalie Evans a microhistory of the postrevolution in Mexico 1917-1924. (2004, cum laude). Supervisor: Dra Lilián Illades Aguiar.

PhD. in History from the University Witten-Herdecke, Germany with the PhD thesis The outsider Alice Rühle-Gerstel from the perspective of he cultural history (Die Außenseiterin Alice Rühle-Gerstel aus einer kulturgeschichtlichen Perspektive) (2010, magna cum laude). Supervisor: Prof. Dr. Jörn Rüsen.

Since December 2016 Professor of historiography and Mexican history at the Institute for Social Science and Humanities “Alfonso Vélez Pliego”, Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla (BUAP), México.
