I work as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Department of Cultural History, University of Turku. I have published on nineteenth-century Finnish cultural discourse and historical thinking. My doctoral thesis examined Johan Vilhelm Snellman’s theory of history as well as his conception of culture. My research interests include early nineteenth-century intellectual history and the travel of concepts and people in northern Europe. I am a member of reserach consortium Computational History and the Transformation of Public Discourse in Finland, 1640–1910 supervised by Hannu Salmi (Academy of Finland, 2016–2019).
