PhD Munich 1976. Full professor of Theory and Methodology of History, and Modern and Contemporary History of Europe at the University of Brasília (since 1977). Chairman of the Brazilian Society for the Theory and History of Historiography. Main research fields: History of the European Integration, Theory of the Historical Knowledge, History and Theory of Historiography, Epistemology, Philosophy and Theory of History, Political History of the Institutions, History of Modern and Contemporary International Relations.
