Biography and/or project
I am a philosopher by training interested in questions of cultural and intercultural philosophy, in theories of modernity and in theory and methodology of the humanities. Currently working for Mainz University’s General Studies Departement, I’m teaching graduate and undergraduate students from various disciplines, among them historians, philosophers and cultural as well as physical anthropologists; subjects cover cultural theory, ethics and interdisciplinarity. Furthermore, I’m affiliated to Mainz University’s Research Unit Historical Cultural Sciences, currently working on a project concerning texts from 18th century cultural history.
