Biography and/or project
I am a historian of modern European intellectual and cultural history, and a historical theorist. I have published or will soon publish works on modern English historiography, analytical philosophy of history, eugenics and pragmatism, and pragmatist logic. I also work on modern Christianity and Islam, in particular the way these religions have responded to the challenges of modernity and late modernity. My first monograph – entitled The New Idealist Idea of Hisory: New Idealist Philosophy, the Modern English Past and the Welfare State in English Revisionist Historiography, 1945-1980 – will be published in the near future
