Abstract
Since modern times,the theory of history as a discipline has developed for nearly 200 years.The article argues that the theory of history,as a kind of reflection,helps researchers cultivate their own historical consciousness.It takes the subjects in historical practice,namely,historians and readers,as the objects of reflection,and the experience and structure integrated into the subject as the object of theoretical discussion.The value of the theory of history lies in lifting the efficiency of historical research and interpretation by training the historical thinking mode of historians.To this end,in addition to the accumulation of academic history and context-based text analysis,emphasizing the reflective training of general experience in daily life is also one of the important ways for historians to obtain historical thinking.
