This essay proposes and discusses a typology of the relationships between history teaching and historiographical conceptions. It begins by establishing one first big division between historiographical conceptions that assume the history teaching or history education are not a problem to the history, and those which assume that the teaching problem is immanent to production and social usage of historical knowledge. Following, it suggests that the historiographical conceptions, in their relationship with history teaching are divided into traditional, critical and genetic conceptions, concurring to the lines of the knowledge theory that they practice. Esse ensaio propõe e discute uma tipologia das relações entre o ensino de História e as concepções historiográficas. Inicia estabelecendo uma primeira grande divisão entre as concepções historiográficas, para as quais o ensino de história ou educação histórica não são um problema da história, e as concepções que consideram que o problema do ensino é imanente à produção e utilização social do conhecimento histórico. A seguir, sugere que as concepções historiográficas, na sua relação com o ensino de História, dividem-se em concepções tradicionais, críticas e genéticas, conforme as linhas gerais da teoria do conhecimento que praticam.
