Fifty years since the Great October Revolution, the fiftieth anniversary of the building of a new socialist society: this is a date of great celebration for all who fight for progress, and a date on which to give deep thought to the past and future destinies of mankind. Historians particularly have much to think and meditate about. The triumph of October visibly demonstrated the persuasiveness of the Marxist-Leninist theory of the objectively law-governed nature of social development, which, in the final analysis, proceeds toward communism. All of world history since that date has confirmed the demonstrability and force of the Marxist-Leninist theory of the historical process.
