Krzysztof Brzechczyn, Professor of Humanities, the Head of the Chair of Epistemology and Cognitive Sciences at Department of Philosophy in Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznań, Poland and the President of Poznań Division of Polish Philosophical Society. Graduated with M.A. degree in history from Adam Mickiewicz University (1987). On 1995 he obtained a PhD degree in Philosophy from the Adam Mickiewicz University where he presented the thesis Procesy kaskadowe w rozwoju historycznym (The Cascade Processes in Historical Development) written under supervision of Leszek Nowak. On 2004 he obtained degree of doctor habilitatus of philosophy. On 19th December 2014 he obtained a degree of Professor of Humanities from the President of Poland.  Fields of interests: comparative historical sociology, philosophy of history, philosophy of religion, political philosophy, social philosophy, current history, methodology of social sciences and the humanities.
