Lecture 'Study Group Philosophy of History'

Study Group Philosophy of History

The Study Group Philosophy of History aims to promote research, debate and teaching in the philosophy of history. To this end the study group invites speakers to present their work in progress. Themes are chosen at the intersection of philosophy and history.

Attendance is free and open to everyone, from undergraduate students to professors. The language of the sessions will be English, unless all attendees command the Dutch language. (R)MA and PhD students are especially welcome to attend. The organizers kindly ask for a registration in advance.

Speakers: Robbert-Jan Adriaansen, Assistant Professor, Erasmus University Rotterdam, and Pieter Huistra, Assistant Professor, University of Utrecht. Robbert-Jan Adriaansen will be speaking about The Play-Element of Historical Culture. Pieter Huistra will be speaking about Funding bodies and their influence on historiographical practice.
